The Private Equity Group ("PEG") of J.P. Morgan Investment Management Inc. is one of the longest-standing global private equity programs in the industry. The team consists of over 60 professionals operating from offices in New York, London, Hong Kong and New Delhi. The investment program includes primary, secondary, and co-investment opportunities. Market segments of focus span all private markets, including venture capital, growth equity, buyout, and to a lesser extent, private debt and real estate/infrastructure.

Job Summary

As an Asset Management - Private Equity Portfolio Management Associate - Program Associate within J.P. Morgan Asset Management, you will provide direct support to Portfolio Managers to source and underwrite private equity investments, as well as manage the existing investment portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to grow within the PEG and work in a team environment, contributing to sourcing and deal origination, conducting comprehensive due diligence, preparing investment memoranda and recommendations, and analyzing investment performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing and deal origination of primary partnership investments, secondary transactions, and co-investments

  • Assist in conducting comprehensive due diligence

  • Aide in the preparation of investment memoranda and investment recommendations

  • Support in the analysis of historical investment performance, portfolio company performance, financial statements, financial models, and industry research

  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on existing portfolio investments

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration (or related field)

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience, including private equity investing, manager selection, financial analysis, investment banking/M&A, or strategic consulting

  • Excellent analytical skills, communication, writing and presentation

  • Willingness to work effectively in a team environment

  • Potential/expectation for candidate to grow within the PEG
