THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an outstanding individual to report into our Business Intelligence Manager, who will work closely with our analysts across our marketed portfolio (largely Immunology and Specialty Business focused), collating analytical insights from numerous data sources to enable and facilitate decision making and strategic planning. These data driven insights will provide a transparent picture of the market landscape, including consideration and quantification of upcoming opportunities, risks or key events, brought together cohesively through timely, efficient and flawless execution. These responsibilities will largely be focused on long term business planning, reporting and analytics for investigating market trends and impacts.

As an invaluable member of the core business team, you will demonstrate exceptional analytical, communication and presentation skills, combined with the ability to engage and support key business partners, through professional, dynamic and data driven conversations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead as an ‘Insight Integrator’: Collating and synthesising insights from all channels to incorporate a 360° view of the internal and external environment, developing recommendations for targeted business action and striving for innovation where possible in these processes and tasks

  • Insights & Analytics: Generate, deliver and embed meaningful insights and recommendations derived from connecting data and employing best in class analytics, and be able to do so in a fast paced and dynamic environment

  • Strategic & Operational Business Planning: Lead key planning processes in collaboration with cross-functional business partners. Integrate into the Business Unit and support our Specialty TAs of the business.

  • Patient Modelling: Develop and maintain accurate patient based models for relevant therapeutic areas and brands

  • Business Engagement & Partnering: As a member of the Business Unit Leadership team, serve as first point of contact for complex business questions, proactively identifying BI needs and planning for provision of outputs across all BI activities

  • Vendor Management: Define and respond to key business questions by synergising the capabilities of internal and external partners in the fields of market research, analytics, forecasting and competitive intelligence

  • Provide expertise in therapy areas of responsibility and introduce relevant Business Intelligence methodology, and tools based on BI knowledge and skills

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor degree in business, finance or equivalent

  • 3-5 years pharmaceutical, healthcare or life sciences experience

  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Deep experience in complex Microsoft Excel patient models and large data sets

  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders

Preferred:

  • Experience with creating analytics visualisations in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Familiarity with big data

  • Background in Sales & Marketing and/or analytics

  • Experience with finance

  • Experience with PowerBI and J D Forecasting Platform

  • Experience working in consultancy for pharmaceuticals with large data

  • Experience working across different therapy areas – inparticular the Specialty TAs, for example, PAH, Mental Health.

  • Experience of working in different country markets and healthcare field dynamics/structures
