DATTCO Inc Part Time Trainer in New Hartford, Connecticut

Primary Responsibilities
- Communicate, mentor, and train drivers to ensure compliance with all federal, state and company regulations, policies and procedures.
- Conduct behind the wheel and classroom pre-service/in-service training.
- Conduct post-accident retraining as needed.
- Conduct driver evaluations and proficiency review as required by regulations and company policies.
- Provide ongoing input to Director of Safety regarding changes to improve the Driver Training Program.
- Document progress and results of drivers pre-service/in-service training.
- Lead by example with all safety issues and be an active supporter and member of the company safety program and its initiatives.
- Responsible for complying with all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with all federal and state requirements.
- Be available for work during the summer and school vacations.
Position Requirements
- Accident/incident free for a minimum of one year
- Must be able to verbally communicate in a clear, concise manner
- Must have an above average driving record determined by the safety department
- Must have a Commercial Drivers License, class B, with P/S endorsement
- Must present a professional appearance
