This role involves serving as a part-time pilot on an as-needed basis to cover flights in situations where the regular staff pilots are not available.    DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of this role, your direct supervisor will be the Chief Pilot. Your responsibilities will involve coordinating and organizing safe on-demand air transportation for state officials. This will include tasks such as scheduling flights, dispatching aircraft, and ensuring that all flights are executed in a secure manner. You will also be responsible for conducting preflight inspections of the aircraft and documenting any necessary reports. Additionally, you will be in charge of loading and unloading luggage, maintaining the cleanliness of the aircraft both internally and externally, and keeping accurate flight logs. Furthermore, you will actively participate in various training programs related to ground operations, flight procedures, and emergency protocols.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Temporary Part-time employment. This position will have a flex schedule for flight days. Non-Flight work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with 30-minute lunch. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: 3000 hours of flight experience as a licensed pilot of which at least 750 hours should be of multi-engine time and 300 hours shall be of total actual instrument time; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Special Requirement: This position requires possession of an Airline Transport Certificate with at least a multi-engine rating, a commercial single engine rating and a First-Class Medical Certificate as issued by the Federal Aviation Administration. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience flying for a corporate flight department for two or more years. Experience operating aircraft under Part 91 for three or more years. (NOTE: A Part 91 flight is a non-commercial flight that follows the general operating and flight rules for civil aircraft. Part 91 flights are typically flown by individual owners or businesses that use their aircraft for personal or private purposes. Part 91 flights have less restrictive regulations and liability than Part 135 flights, which are commercial flights.) Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
