The Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Department of Pediatrics and the Eric B. Chandler Community Health Center (EBCHC) are seeking to hire a full-time pediatrician. This is a non-tenure track position at the instructor/assistant professor level requiring clinical duties with the expectation for teaching. Faculty appointment will be in the division of Population Health, Quality, and Implementation Science (PopQuIS), which houses ambulatory primary care pediatrics and our generalist research mission.
Candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be board-certified or board eligible in pediatrics. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
The Eric B. Chandler Health Center is a comprehensive, family-oriented community health center, jointly operated by the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Eric B. Chandler Community Board, Inc.
Primary care services available at Chandler include: family medicine; internal medicine; infectious disease (HIV counseling, testing, and treatment); pediatrics (including EPSDT and child well-care); obstetrics and gynecology; podiatry; family planning; and dentistry (including preventive, restoration, and curative). Other services of the center include social services, community outreach, nutrition, and health education. Laboratory services are offered as well.
We are seeking a candidate who has a passion for teaching, enjoys caring for children with a wide variety of conditions including those who are medically complex. We value leadership. As a part of Rutgers University RWJMS faculty have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in the basic and social sciences, other clinical arms of the university (e.g. Social Work, Pharmacy) and the Rutgers School of Public Health, among others.
