About Our Internship Program

Throughout the course of the internship, interns either work on-site or virtually and have regular events, weekly lunch and learn session and receive training customized by our business units. This unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and Globally. The interns will understand first-hand what a career at Stanley Black & Decker is like and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. Additional social activities are planned throughout the internship period to provide opportunity to network with SBD professionals. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity and self-confidence. Interns must be team oriented and able to work collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

During your internship you will have the opportunity to support our Finance team working as a hybrid employee with key activities including:

  • Work with Financial reporting and analysis.

  • Budget management, FAR approval reporting, monthly tracking against approved FARs.

  • Utilize margin analytic trending relationship to ROI models/capital spending, pricing, and promotions.

  • Use ROI model to evaluate new product development projects and product road.

  • Review processes for compliance with policies.

  • Experience a utility role interacting with key members of a fortune 500 company.

  • Have a flexible schedule featuring a max of 40 hours.

Qualifications:

The Summer Finance Intern candidate will preferably have the following qualifications:

  • A target graduation date in 2026 (rising senior)

  • A Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics and/or Business Administration Degree

  • Strong Academic Credentials

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills

  • Successfully managed strong academics with extracurricular activities.

The pay range for this position in California, Colorado, Washington, New York, Maryland is $20- $23 per hour. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience as well as major and years of school completed. This role is ineligible for benefits.
