Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a diligent Staff Accountant in New Albany, Ohio. This role will focus on a variety of day-to-day financial tasks within a telecom provider setting. As a Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of accounting duties, including data entry, accounts payable/receivable, and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Execute daily financial tasks swiftly and accurately.

• Utilize Quickbooks accounting software for various accounting operations.

• Handle general reporting tasks to maintain up-to-date financial records.

• Manage accounts payable by ensuring timely entry of invoices, running check runs, and maintaining records.

• Oversee accounts receivable entries and reconciliations on a daily basis.

• Generate detailed monthly reports using Quickbooks.

• Undertake account management/reconciliation tasks, such as reconciling sales taxes and bank accounts monthly.

• Carry out other duties as assigned by the management team. Requirements • Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general or tax accounting

• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to work

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
