Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Purchaser in New Albany, Indiana. The role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and prompt transaction processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with vendors, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting additional tasks and projects related to accounting and purchasing.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient management of both accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and promptly

• Reconciliation of invoices and purchase orders with receipts and payments for alignment and accuracy

• Liaising with vendors to gather quotes, negotiate prices, and place orders for required goods and services for various projects

• Assessment of suppliers and maintenance of robust vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effective procurement

• Collaboration with Project Managers and Engineering Personnel to comprehend their purchasing needs and assist in sourcing suitable products and services

• Working closely with the Shop Supervisor to purchase consumables

• Conducting manual data entry for all shop personnel in the ERP system

• Use of skills in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Buying Processes, Component Selection, Manufacturing, Purchasing Activities, bill.com, Accounts Payable (AP), High-Volume Invoicing, Collections

The role requires a strong understanding of purchasing, some light bookkeeping and excellent communication and negotiation abilities. The ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment, high attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, and familiarity with supply chain operations and logistics are also expected.

Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Extensive knowledge and experience in Buying Processes

• Familiarity with Component Selection

• Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment

• Demonstrated ability to handle Purchasing Activities

• Proficiency in using bill.com software

• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Experience in handling High-Volume Invoicing

• Proven skills in Collections management
