Job Description

Job Title: Project Controls Supervisor - Reporting Manager

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Project Controls Supervisor - Reporting Manager with a minimum of 15 years of experience to oversee the reporting aspects of our project controls function. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of project performance metrics, providing valuable insights to stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement robust reporting procedures and protocols to effectively capture and communicate project performance metrics, including schedule variance, cost variance, earned value analysis, and other key indicators.

  2. Lead the generation of comprehensive reports and presentations for project stakeholders, including executives, clients, and project teams, to provide visibility into project status, trends, risks, and opportunities.

  3. Design and develop interactive dashboards using Power BI to visualize project data and KPIs, providing stakeholders with real-time insights into project performance.

  4. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant data, validate accuracy, and ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements.

  5. Prepare weekly and monthly reports highlighting key project metrics, milestones, and performance trends, facilitating informed decision-making and proactive risk management.

  6. Analyze project data and trends to identify areas of concern, deviations from plans, and opportunities for improvement, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support decision-making and problem-solving.

  7. Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure alignment between project controls reporting and financial reporting processes, facilitating accurate and transparent reporting of project financials and cost controls.

  8. Maintain documentation and records related to reporting processes, procedures, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

  9. Utilize Primavera P6 to integrate project schedules and progress data into reporting processes, ensuring alignment between project plans and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls, with a focus on reporting, preferably in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.

  3. Proven expertise in developing and implementing reporting procedures and protocols, with a track record of success in delivering accurate and insightful reports to stakeholders.

  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.

  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

  6. Proficiency in project management software tools, including Power BI for dashboarding and Primavera P6 for project scheduling and tracking.

  7. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.

  8. Solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and change management.

  9. Professional certification in project management (PMP), project controls (PSP), or related field is highly desirable
