Job Title: Electrical Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

This position is mainly responsible for the electrical and mechanical assembly of electrical control panels and cabinets. The electro-mechanical technician will also perform machine wiring and assist in machine troubleshooting and start-up as specified per electrical schematics, machine drawings, and engineering. The ideal candidate for this position possesses good electrical skills and mechanical aptitude, enthusiasm, is detail-oriented, and is motivated to get the job done in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical control panels and cabinets.

  • Perform machine wiring according to electrical schematics and machine drawings.

  • Assist in machine troubleshooting and start-up.

  • Read, understand, and troubleshoot electrical schematics.

  • Read and understand Bills of Materials.

  • Understand and work with AC/DC control circuits and 3-phase motor control.

  • Operate power and hand tools, fabrication machinery, pneumatic tools, and use a multi-meter.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and Bills of Materials.

  • Understanding of AC/DC control circuits and 3-phase motor control.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in automated industrial control panel building and equipment wiring.

  • 3+ years of experience with power and hand tools, fabrication machinery, pneumatic tools, and using a multi-meter.

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry.

  • Familiarity with electrical control system components such as breakers, disconnect switches, relays, timers, and safety circuits.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • General math skills.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred.

  • Conveyor industry experience preferred.

  • General computer knowledge (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook) is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $68480.00/yr.
