Our prefabrication construction client is seeking a drafting technician for their Neenah, WI location. Starting in August 2024, this role involves drafting detailed pipe fabrication drawings, using AutoCAD, and collaborating on special projects. Candidates must have basic knowledge of piping fabrication and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

responsibilities:

• Draft detailed pipe fabrication drawings for projects within the pipe fabrication department.

• Utilize drafting programs to prepare fabrication drawings of piping based on data provided by AZCO's customers and their engineers.

• Create readable and accurate drawings for shop use.

• Calculate dimensions, allowances, and technical specifications in accordance with established practices.

• Compile bills of materials and specification sheets.

• Compose Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure all specifications or drawings are correct and understood.

• Collaborate with designers on new and special work projects.

• Check drawings as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
