Job Summary:
Brooklyn Bowl Nashville -Catch a rockin' show, strike down some pins, grab a bite, sip and chill. We've got a little something for everyone.
Brooklyn Bowl Nashville is looking for stagehands with availability on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Our part-time team of stagehands may be scheduled for load in, load out or both. Hours will vary, (including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays) and there is no guarantee of hours per week, month, etc.
Stagehands are responsible for ensuring the success of the show and event productions by performing technical aspects related to the show's production. They assist in the assembly and disassembly of show productions including loading and unloading trucks, assembling equipment on stage, and construction of set pieces, risers, and musical equipment. Stagehands will assist with video, sound, and light production before, during, and after the show.
Responsibilities:
Perform the load-in of band equipment and rental equipment
Cabling: assist audio crew as directed
Band set changes
Ensure that members of the band(s) have required items needed to perform the show(s)
Hang show banners, update marquees and other signage in the venue
Assist lighting crew as directed; Spotlight operation if required
Maintenance and repair of sound, light and stage equipment
Maintain and secure house back line, and supplies
Maintain curtains, drapes, risers and other staging items
Assist audio crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
Assist lighting crew with fixtures, lambs, gels, cabling, etc.
Operate and care for stage areas in a safe, clean manner
Assist with any Special Events operations
All employees use HotSchedules to set availability and receive work schedules
Qualifications:
2 years minimum tour and stage production experience preferred
Experience in stage lighting, pro audio systems and basic video systems
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Technically minded/knowledge of show production
Capable of following instructions and working well with others
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
Standing, walking or sitting and continuously performing essential job functions for duration of shift
Bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances
Moving throughout the venue during the entire shift
Lifting and carrying 75 lbs.
Tolerant of working in fast paced environment
Working in an environment with loud music and crowds for extended periods of time
