Job Summary and Qualifications

Create the design, development, configuration, customization and support of software related to Human Resources for HCA. Responsible for partnering with developers, technicians, analysts, and business process experts on strategic programs, projects, and activities to support the HR roadmap. Develops positive relationships with business and technology stakeholders. Manages multiple development projects at a time independently or part of a larger team. Provides production support for Global HR/ATS/ONB, Lawson HR/Payroll and ancillary HR systems. Ensures repeatable processes are documented and adheres to HCA design and development standards to complete the HR Roadmap throughout the company. Provides on call production support as needed to support the HR Business teams. May require travel to complete project work. Coaches, mentors and develops junior team members on HCA software engineer standards. DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.

  • Ensure quality in the definition and development of product software specifications utilizing best practices and processes

  • Responsible for the full life-cycle process from design to development, testing, product release and maintenance.

  • Responsible for the development and utilization of metrics to measure productivity and effective operational processes.

  • Responsible creation of a personal development plan focused on leadership and technical acumen.

  • May be required to manage vendor team members as part of project work.

  • Present to senior management project-related information (e.g., project proposals, plans, updates, issues, and recommendations).

  • Assist in implementing and refining a successful product development process, including identification of key decision points, decision-making matrices highlighting risks/benefits associated with critical decision options, and application of appropriate portfolio management principles

Technical Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs

  • Large enterprise ERP deployment experience from design through support

  • Hands on experience with system integration (API design/build, data conversion)

  • Experience creating approval work flows

  • Experience with configuration console for form changes/functionality

  • Experience troubleshooting end user access and data issues in large corporate environment

  • General business process knowledge of HR, Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Ability to work with non-technical end users to resolve issues through in person, phone, email or web conference

  • HTML/Javascript

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in Lawson HR/Payroll or comparable ERP

  • Global HR technical experience in multi-tenant cloud

  • Landmark & Infor Process Automation

  • API integration experience from design through support

  • Jira

  • GitHub

  • Java

  • Onbase

  • Mobile experience

  • Application security design with an ERP system

  • Cloud based implementation and support experience

  • Leading large, multi-functional teams with a mix of employee, vendor partner and contract resources

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Seven or more years of relevant work experience

  • 20% travel required as requested to meet business needs
