Description

Perform technical inspection of production parts to ensure conformance to quality standards using written specifications, measuring instruments, and appropriate inspection instruments and equipment. Perform production audits and dock audits. Maintain quality records and files requested by the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine part inspections and tests per written work instructions and consistent with published test standards. Follow instructions on the PICS Shop Order.

  • Demonstrated ability to polish and etch mounts to the point that microstructure can easily be examined.

  • Verify hardness testers and assigned equipment daily.

  • Prepare required customer paperwork.

  • Maintain furnace charts storage system.

  • Help maintain Quality / Production data bases and other records.

  • Maintain inventory control of consumables in the Lab.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment such as cut-off saws, mounting and polishing equipment and keep the area clean and orderly.

  • Recognize jobs which are abnormal or beyond your ability to perform properly and contact the Shift Supervisor.

  • Know and follow Paulo Product Company’s customer service values.

  • Complete shop orders and production logs as required.

  • Ensure product traceability and maintain mounted samples so as to maintain shop order traceability.

  • Respond to customer service schedules and priorities.

  • Perform the release function in PICS.

  • Participate in group problem solving activities, continuous improvement meetings, training functions. Help instruct others in proper test methods.

  • Maintain a high state of proficiency in performing all routine lab testing.

  • Perform various shop duties such loading and unloading production parts into bins or baskets.

  • Travel to and participate in job related meetings, conventions, training etc. Such travel may include stays of one or more nights.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

  • One year experience with experience with inspecting desired

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, including THC.

    License(s)/Certification(s) Required:

  • Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.

    Experience:

  • On-the-job training is required for this position.

  • Must be available for all shifts.
