Philips Collections Specialist in Nashville, Tennessee

Job title:

Collections Specialist

  • Oversee a portfolio of key accounts ranging from $6 to $20 million, dependent on portfolio composition.

  • Communicate with clients who have past due balances to secure payments, payment commitments, and follow up on payment promises.

  • Achieve or surpass targeted cash collections metrics, aiming to reduce past due amounts, minimize bad debt exposure, and meet other quantitative objectives.

  • Take responsibility for reporting disputed or short-paid invoices, identifying root causes, and collaborating with internal departments to expedite resolution/payment.

  • Promptly escalate significant collection issues to management that may require special attention or additional support.

Requirements:

  • Possess at least 2 years of collections experience in business-to-business (B2B) collections, with a focus on customer service and retention.

  • Hold a degree in finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field, coupled with relevant work experience.

  • Preferably have experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP accounting applications.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, particularly with VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

  • Familiarity with PCI (Payment Card Industry) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards within a collections environment is advantageous.

  • Experience in the healthcare or medical manufacturing sector is advantageous.
