Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist based in Nashua, New Hampshire. You will be responsible for managing customer credit accounts, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound and outbound collections calls to manage customer accounts

• Apply cash to customer accounts, including processing wire, check, and credit card payments

• Post high-volume cash receipts efficiently and accurately

• Track daily deposits and maintain records of transactions

• Retrieve remittance data for record keeping and reporting purposes

• Handle vendor inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies

• Maintain and update customer files to ensure data integrity and accuracy

• Make calls on all past due amounts and record all results in the system

• Record all customer payments to the correct reports

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Requirements • Proficiency in 'Credit - Collections' is essential

• Demonstrable experience in a Collections Specialist role or similar

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Strong knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques

• Familiarity with relevant legal requirements

• Working knowledge of MS Office and databases

• Comfortable working with targets

• Patience and ability to manage stress

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• High school diploma; Associate's/Bachelor’s degree is a plus
