UINTAH SCHOOL DISTRICT TRIBAL TUTOR / TEEN CENTER MENTOR UINTAH HIGH SCHOOL in NAPLES, Utah
(40 HOURS PER WEEK, FULL-TIME POSITION WITH BENEFITS)
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
District Expectations:
- Track student's progress
- Attendance
- Grades
- Graduation credits
- Work as a Liaison
- Ute Tribe Education Department
- Outside agencies
- Home
- Assist students with credit recovery and extra academic support for current subjects
- Organize Heritage Club
- Assist with transition of 8th graders to UHS
- Work closely with school counselors to help increase involvement in CTE, AP, extracurricular, etc.
- Serve as mentor with the Teen Center
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- Associate degree, 48 semester hours of college credit or must have passed the Para-Pro Test or be willing to take and pass the Para-Pro Test immediately upon hire;
- Successful experience working with children at risk;
