Michigan Spring & Stamping Shipping Coordinator in Muskegon, Michigan
Michigan Spring and Stamping, a global technology leader in the production of highly complex strip and wire springs, is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join their team. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient shipment of materials, both domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of shipping, including scheduling shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and arranging for transportation.
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to customers.
Inspect items for shipment to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with customer requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and prioritize shipments based on customer demands.
Maintain accurate records of shipments and update inventory systems.
Communicate with customers and carriers to provide status updates and address any issues or concerns.
Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and laws.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
Previous experience in shipping coordination or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of domestic regulations and requirements. International is a plus.
Proficiency in shipping software and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Experience with SAP is a plus.
