Job Summary

The Red Hat India Technology Sales team is looking for a Regional Technical Sales Leader to join our team. This leadership role is in the forefront of the technical pre-sales journey with Red Hat’s customers through a team of Account Solution Architect (ASA), in addition to being responsible for the quality execution of Red Hat’s technical account strategy in partnership with Regional Account teams. This role partners closely with the Geo Platform Leaders (RHEL, OpenShift and Ansible) to align operationally on the go to market strategy in support of the Account SAs and account teams. In addition, this role is responsible for the overall Regional Product targets. This means that you will work in a matrixed reporting environment and your collaboration and influencing skills must be leveraged to drive towards a common vision and goal while achieving regional product sales targets. You will bring your unique ability to unite technical sales and pre-sales teams with a common vision and design and implement distinct career paths across the technical sales community from senior technologists to specialist sales to solution architecture. You engage senior leaders on a regular basis to discuss and represent key aspects of the go to market elements, build investment plans and conduct business reviews of the Red Hat portfolio across the product/service lifecycle.

What will you do?

Hire, develop, retain and lead Account Solution Architects (ASA) within the Region to deliver on account plans through Technical Decision Points (TDPs) driving towards a technical win.

Accountable for Regional sales targets for the selected accounts/POD planned growth.

Develop the ASA talent pool to be trusted advisors to Red Hat’s customers including partnering with the Business Value team to determine how to elevate and articulate the value of Red Hat’s products and services to our customers.

Serve as the technical thought leader for the customer by understanding the customer’s desired outcomes and the impact to their business through Red Hat’s technology by winning the hearts and minds as their trusted advisor.

Execute global sales plays with the support of the Global and Segment sales teams.

Support the Platform Leaders, as needed, contributing to the hiring process for OpenShift

specialists (SSP, SSA) in the Geo as well as other Tech Sales hiring as required..

Synthesize regional feedback for Product and Engineering reviews, through the Platform Leaders.

Participate in and contribute to the monthly Business Leadership Team (BLT) meetings, through the Platform leaders.

Partner with the Ecosystem team to execute partner-focused go to market initiatives, as needed, in partnership with the Geo Ecosystem Tech Sales Leader).

Represents Red Hat through public thought leadership (written and/or spoken advocacy).

What will you bring?

10+ years experience in a sales leadership role in a technology sales environment.

Strong technical and business background with a track record in leading cross-functional teams and delivering on complex projects.

Experience managing sales and technical pre-sales associates.

Experience with application development, deployment and operations, enterprise integration technologies and patterns, information technology security, API strategy and management, data management, DevOps & GitOps, serverless, service mesh, and other related Application Platform technologies and patterns.

Proven track record of managing direct and indirect teams, as well as strong cross functional collaboration skills, with a proven track record of success.

Experience building and/or contributing to pre-sales material and process creation.

Ability to present to and have conversations at multiple levels with a customer from developers and architects to infrastructure and operations teams, to strategic executives and C-level management.

Experience with a digital transformation effort as part of sales, consulting or as a customer.

Strong understanding of market opportunities, the competitive landscape and deep technical expertise Red Hat’s solutions and related technologies, trends, and concepts.

Bachelor's degree (or US foreign equivalent) in computer information systems, computer science or related field.

Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, following Red Hat’s established travel and expense policies
