Microsoft Corporation Senior Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft Education in Multiple Locations, United States

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft Education focused on growth opportunities for Microsoft 365 (M365), you will lead initiatives that leverage our products to enable schools to accelerate learning and improve outcomes while preparing students for the evolving workplace of the future. In this role, you will be responsible for building subject matter expertise across our education audiences, products, and channels, driving clarity on our strategic priorities, positioning and value proposition across our effort. You will have a chance to directly influence our products as well as our go-to-market plans and marketing execution. You will be responsible for creating an industry solution kit which connects top customer needs and context with the rest of the Microsoft portfolio, and particularly the Microsoft 365 product line for Education. You will play a critical role in thinking end to end about how we build and deliver products to market while supporting educational institutions through their transformational journey, enabling them to leverage AI and other emerging technologies to help students excel in a new era. Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market analysis and research to establish audience insights and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

  • Engage with educational leaders, teachers and students to understand their challenges and advocate for solutions that support both teaching and learning.

  • Influence product vision and strategy for solutions that meet the evolving needs of institutions and educators in a rapidly changing educational landscape.

  • Develop and lead marketing strategies that position our products and focus on durable differentiation.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for our Modern Work product portfolio centered on our M365 for Educations product line.

  • Your emphasis will be on experiences that help school accelerate learning for all students.

  • Prioritize and document strategies that drive the adoption of Microsoft’s modern work solutions in educational settings, grow the business, and align with our mission to prepare students for the workforce of tomorrow.

  • Create Messaging and Positioning Frameworks (MPFs), content, sales enablement and other materials to help scale our efforts across marketing and sales channels and partners.

  • Lead and support cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive approach to product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in product marketing and prior experience with education technology.

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize audience insights, and develop positioning, value propositions, and messaging.

  • Cross functional leadership experience, with the ability to create clarity, align shared priorities, and influence virtual teams to deliver successful outcomes.

  • Communication skills, with the ability to simply articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences and influence at the senior leadership level.

  • Proven ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, making informed decisions based on data and common principles to ensure the success of the project or team.

  • A passion for education and a commitment to Microsoft’s mission of empowering every student, educator and institution.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
