Description
Rowan College at Burlington County, a comprehensive College in New Jersey’s largest county, is seeking qualified applicants for a Mathematics Instructor position in the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Full-time faculty at Rowan College at Burlington County (RCBC) are the foundation of the innovative, high-quality and affordable educational experience provided to students through RCBC’s academic programs.
Full-time faculty perform a number of critical duties, detailed within the Collective Bargaining Agreement by and Between the Board of Trustees of Rowan College at Burlington County and the Faculty Association. Full-time faculty engage in both teaching and non-teaching duties, including responsibilities for which they are compensated as part of base salary. The Instructor will teach a base load of 15 credits per semester, as well as engage in non-teaching duties.
Faculty provide an Annual Performance Report detailing both teaching and non-teaching duties, as outlined within the Collective Bargaining Agreement by and Between the Board of Trustees of Rowan College at Burlington County and the Faculty Association.
Qualified candidates should be able to prepare and deliver lessons across a range of Mathematics courses including, but not limited to, the Algebra sequence, Calculus sequence, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Statistics, and corequisite support courses. Candidates who fulfill the requirements outlined below are invited to submit an employment application for Fall 2025.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, prepare, and teach all assigned courses while ensuring that course outcomes are met. Provide students with feedback and academic support. Meet all divisional and institutional requirements, such as submission of grades and reporting attendance.
Develop, in collaboration with Division Dean and/or Associate Dean, course syllabi, assessments, and rubrics as part of program development and institutional and student outcomes assessment.
Maintain office and advising hours for students.
Advise students on course selection and career development opportunities.
Other duties as assigned, as detailed within the Collective Bargaining Agreement by and Between the Board of Trustees of Rowan College at Burlington County and the Faculty Association.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Required:
- Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Mathematics or a related field. Doctorate is preferred.
Experience Required:
At least two years of teaching experience in the discipline at the college level
At least one year of experience in the use of instructional technologies.
Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements:
Mathematics curriculum design and development.
At least one year of industrial experience involving the applications of Mathematics.
Certified in Blackboard or willing to teach online.
Additional Information
INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:
Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
