Carbon Activated Corporation Electrical Process Engineer in Mount Hope, West Virginia
Electrical Process Engineer: Install, test, and maintain electrical equipment used for the companys carbon activation and activated carbon production processes. Develop and implement electrical control systems for carbon activation machinery and ensure communication, process, control, and transmission between each instrument. Perform daily quality assurance tests of carbon activation machinery to ensure that equipment is functioning and performing carbon activation processes effectively. Develop comprehensive testing standards, procedures, and testing modules for electrical systems and equipment using ISO 9000. Review test plans with management to ensure and revise specific facets to reflect prior results and errors. Maintain carbon activation equipment by conducting performance tests to address utilization, validation, accurate runtime data collection, and containment of product interruptions. Report any technical issues or deficiencies with electrical equipment to management and create and implement solutions to errors or deficiencies. Recommend changes to improve electrical systems and carbon activation processes based on the results of quality and performance tests. Automate and install new electrical equipment and machinery and ensure the compatibility of all components. Analyze and accredit new electrical equipment using ISO 9000 to ensure it will produce carbon within AWWA standards. Provide guidance and training to engineers and other staff on new developments, standards, and requirements for carbon activation processes and machinery. Stay abreast of industry trends and practices and make recommendations to the company as appropriate. Requirements: The position requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge in ISO 9000, machine automation, programming of SCADA, and troubleshooting of PLCs. The position of Electrical Process Engineer requires incidental travel 1% of the time, not more than several days a few times a year throughout the United States. 40 hours/week.
