Join the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) finance team supporting the Cardiac Diagnostics and Services Business (CDS), an Integrated Operating Unit.

The Principal Financial Analyst will support the CDS R&D and Clinical organizations by collaborating closely with the VP of Research and Development, Core Team Leaders and the Director of Clinical. In this role you will work collaboratively to ensure sound financial projections and accounting of pipeline innovation, strategic initiatives, and serve as a voice for the finance organization. The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform and analyze financial models, project accounting, budget management (expense and capital), participate in cross functional teams, and engagement in forecasting, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Plan.

This position will work directly with the CDS Finance Director, R&D and Clinical business partners, and corporate teams to complete month-end financial activities, financial planning initiatives, and pipeline analytics.

A Day in the Life

• Partner with the Core Team Leaders all aspects of financial management & overall R&D portfolio management, including core team support & business case development/ financial modeling, project prioritization, resource allocation, expense management and capital planning

• Serve as the primary finance partner to the CPT Clinical team, supporting cost center and project management, adhoc financial analysis and business case development.

• Coordinate CDS R&D functional Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, including preparing and presenting monthly/quarterly business results.

• Prepare analysis and presentations, including presenting in Core Team meetings, PRC and leadership meetings such as Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)

• Financial and analytical support of strategic planning to ensure pipeline objectives are reasonable and align with market expectations

• Develop and maintain various financial models and report on the impact of project timeline shifts

• Drive efficiency/improvement of related finance processes in support of the organization

• Perform additional financial analysis for special projects upon request

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 7+ years of experience or Advanced Degree required with 5+ years of experience

Nice to Have:

• Strong modeling/Microsoft Excel skills and proficient in Word and PowerPoint

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with interests in building strong business partnering relationships

• Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and the proven experience translating financial data into meaningful, concise information

• Ability to manage tight time commitments

• Controllership/Capital Accounting Experience

• Experience with Hyperion, CMR, Power BI and SAP

• Proven ability to interface in a global team environment with various levels of management, staff, and other functional areas,

• Demonstrated ability and success working with minimal supervision, including flexibility to changing priorities in a proactive and self-motivated manner,

• Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate financial data into concise information for management,

• Ability to operate within a complex organization
