Insight Global Project Engineer in Decatur, Illinois

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Engineer to support the world's leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment in Decatur, IL. This individual will be tasked with estimating quantities and cost of materials, equipment or labor to determine project feasibility. A typical project engineer has knowledge of engineering technology, building and construction and public safety and security. They must have solid decision-making skills and be a critical thinker. We are looking for an individual contributor who has a background in Quality w/ Project Management skills to be able to run Manufacturing Quality Issue Resolution with different support functions. They will be interactive with a range of team members from Operations to Field Product Support and will cover Drivetrain products produced at Caterpillar.

Day to Day:

Supervise the construction of roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges and water supply and sewage systems.

Review the cost effectiveness, timing, reliability and safety of certain design models to determine project feasibility and approve final design implementation plan.

Analyze and evaluate impact of project to government regulations and potential environmental hazards.

Manage and direct staff members and the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.

Will work project workload daily thru facilitating and execution of analyzing data, shop walks, team meetings, driving team activities/actions, and full execution of projects thru completion, etc.

Skills and Requirements

Must haves:

Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering field.

10+ years of project engineer/manager experience.

Must have QUALITY background in manufacturing, automotive, or drivetrain projects.

Data analysis experience.

Familiar with Continuous Improvement Process.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills. null
