Big Bend Community College Assistant Director of Finance in Moses Lake, Washington
Position Summary
Big Bend Community College (BBCC), a rural college serving vibrant, culturally rich communities in the Columbia Basin of Central Washington invites applications for a Assistant Director of Finance in the college's Business Office Department.
The Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for the cashiering, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions of the Business Office and the college. This position performs complex accounting, reconciliation, and internal control functions and acts as the director in his/her absence. This position provides direction and guidance in all areas of the department. The individual in this position is expected to exercise independent judgement and actions, acting in the best interest of the college. The Assistant Director is an on-going member of the statewide Budget, Accounting, and Reporting Council (BAR).

Essential Job Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary essential duties and responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following:
Under direction of Executive Director of Finance/Controller, manage, plan, and perform assigned accounting functions to support the college's academic and ancillary programs.
Manage the cashiering office providing scheduling, training, and coordination of workflow between the cashiering office and other student service areas.
Manage accounts payable staff and activities to ensure accurate and timely payment to vendors and disbursement of financial aid and refunds to students.
Manage accounts receivable staff and activities reviewing receivables' aging and assuring that college billing for all receivables is timely and accurate.
Direct and train the cashiering, accounts payable, receivable, and other accounting staff.
Manage accounting activities to ensure the delivery of accurate, timely accounting services to Big Bend staff and students and to external governmental and privat
