Description and Requirements

We are seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Events Manager for Lenovo’s North America International Sales Organization. This individual will play a critical role in leveraging data-driven insights and aligning event planning with company strategy and technological innovations. The ideal candidate will support both in-person and virtual events, including executive briefings, consumer, commercial, partner, customer advisory council, and global marketing strategic events. This position entails comprehensive management of event logistics, ensuring alignment with business goals and key stakeholder objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Event Planning and Execution: Develop and execute detailed event plans, including logistics, registration, product showcases, staffing, booth design, security, and operations, ensuring all aspects align with the company’s strategic goals and technological innovations.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to inform event strategies, track performance metrics, and report ROI to stakeholders. Implement best practices to enhance future event participation and effectiveness.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with North America segment marketing managers, ambassadors, sales managers, and the global events team to support and refine the overall event strategy. Ensure alignment with broader company objectives and innovations within the tech industry.

  • Budget Management: Adhere to budget requirements, ensuring cost-effective solutions while delivering high-quality results. Manage financial tools (Anaplan and Ariba) to streamline payment processes and vendor management.

  • Communication and Coordination: Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates through project management tools and hosting regular status calls. Facilitate seamless coordination among teams to achieve event goals.

  • Innovative Event Solutions: Design and produce virtual and hybrid customer experiences that leverage the latest technology to engage and captivate audiences. Incorporate innovative approaches to event marketing and communications.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure Intelligent Device Group (IDG), Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), and Solutions & Services Group teams are adequately represented with products, content, and presentations to better demonstrate One Lenovo and drive our NA business forward

  • Training and Education: Educate North America teams, including sales and executives, on event participation strategies to maximize engagement and attendance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing and event planning, with a proven track record of managing successful events.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to support event execution and management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Influence and Relationship Building: Ability to influence stakeholders within a matrixed organization, leveraging strong relationships and a commanding presence.

  • Project and Budget Management: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience managing multiple projects and budgets simultaneously.

  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey event details clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Agency Experience: Background in account management at a media/creative agency or overseeing agency relationships from the client side.

  • Innovative Event Execution: Experience in designing and producing virtual or hybrid events, utilizing cutting-edge technology to create engaging customer experiences.

  • Passion for Excellence: Commitment to executing high-quality programs that create buzz and engage Lenovo’s partners and customers.

This position is a hybrid role, requiring three days per week in our Morrisville office and two days working from home.*
