Xylem Product Owner in Morrisville, North Carolina

The Role:
The Product Owne r is responsible for the design strategy, technical development, and support for FST. Continuous development and maintenance in close collaboration with the product manager, global devops and the operations manager for digital services.
The product owner is entitled to authorize sales/production stop when needed due to safety and quality issues.
Core Responsibilities:
• Overall responsibility for performance, quality, manufacturability, technical documentation, (warranty), product safety and ESH for owned products.
• Product safety and product quality linked to design.
• Product functionality and technical performance.
• Cost effective design and data maintenance.
• Support customers, developers, and operations team.
• Technical product data and technical content in customer product information.
• Execution and communication of technical changes.
• Perform a broad range of tasks as a resource in all phases of product development projects; for example, approve quality test reports, be a guarantor for synergies with other products and of best practice.
• Lead work with and initiate continuous improvements within own area of expertise.
• Lead strategic long-term product initiatives within own product range.
• Actively participate in standardizations between own and other product ranges.
• Product Backlog Management: Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the product vision and goals.
• Sprint Planning: Collaborate with the development team during sprint planning to clarify requirements and set priorities.
• Release Planning: Plan and manage product releases, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
• Team Support: Provide day-to-day support to the development team, making decisions to unblock progress and ensure smooth workflow.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Support other tasks within the company.
• Comply with company policies and instructions.
• Improvements of processes and routines that are used in daily work.
Key Relationships:
• External: Customers (users of FST)
• Internal: Product Development, Operations, Product Management, Sourcing
Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with at least 4 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross functional teams.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in developing and implementing product strategies and plans.
• Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis techniques.

Salary range:
$72,300.00 - $130,100.00
