Construction Site Supervisor

Weichert Development Company is hiring a Construction Site Supervisor in Morris Plains, NJ. The Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for planning construction projects and overseeing their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. The position manages all construction projects from start to finish. The Construction Site Supervisor also leads the crews and subcontractors on the job sites and coordinates all work onsite.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Oversees and directs construction projects from conception to completion. Ensures quality standards adhere to original plans and specifications.
Oversees all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations and to maintain job site cleanliness.
Works with state/local inspectors to ensure work is performed according to permit drawings.
Manages and directs construction workers and subcontractors.
Reviews the work progress on daily basis. Follows project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
Acts as the liaison between subcontractors and suppliers.
Reports on project progress.
Maintain records such as daily field reports, orders and RFIs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation required
Minimum three (3) years of construction experience
Knowledge of the construction trade
Ability to meet project deadlines under pressure
Strong organizational skills
Ability to read blueprints, plans, specifications and bid documents
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions
Knowledge and ability to use typical office equipment (PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.)
