Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Corporate Tax Staff Accountant in the steel manufacturing industry, based in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing support in various tax-related functions to minimize tax obligations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of Sales and Use Tax, Personal Property Tax, Real Estate Tax, Income Tax, Franchise Tax, and other miscellaneous tax filings.

• Take part in various tax planning initiatives and business process improvements.

• Prepare account reconciliations, tax forecasts, annual reports and business license filings.

• Assist in the preparation of federal and state income tax returns and various franchise tax returns and provisions.

• Participate in other ad hoc projects/duties as assigned.

• Support continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Personal Property Tax

• Experience in Corporate Income Tax

• Knowledge of Income Tax Accounting. Requirements • Proficiency in Personal Property Tax is required

• Demonstrated ability to manage Corporate Income Tax

• Experience with Income Tax Accounting is essential

• A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred

• Previous work experience in the steel manufacturing industry would be advantageous

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are needed

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite is essential

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong organizational and time management skills are needed

• Ability to work both independently and within a team setting

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development

• Must adhere to all company policies and regulations
