Job Description

Within the Pharma Services Group, the Drug Product Division Europe is responsible for the development and commercial production of drugs improving the life of millions of patients. To achieve this ambitious goal, we’re looking for a Financial Analyst II to support the delivery of our near and long-term financial objectives. The responsibilities include all FP&A (Planning, Analysis & Reporting) to execute financial goals and initiatives to support a growing organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong intuition for business and communication skills, combined with experience in data analysis, Power BI development, combining data from multiple data sources, SQL and excellent project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze transactional / operational data, identify anomalies, recommend accruals / reversals to ensure accurate reporting;

  • Develop, standardize and improve regular analyses to share business and financial insights, and support monthly /quarterly /annual forecasting and budgeting process;

  • Be able to ‘ tell a story’ using advanced analytics and data visualization techniques (Power BI is preferred) and build/update dashboards to support the business;

  • Independently investigate data issues and/or information given, ask pertinent questions and identify root causes, collaborate with functional business partners and system support to improve data quality;

  • Collaborate with business partners to generate key assumptions and drivers for decision support, independently conduct ad hoc data analysis to identify business insights and observations;

  • Analyze the profitability of products and services, identify P&L drivers including manufacturing to identify risks and opportunities, and drive relative actions;

  • Proactively support to maintain/improve the Internal Control System to ensure that financials and SOX controls are met and participate in Internal and External audits’ activities;

  • Proactively learn and adopt both Company existing tools and new systems to improve analytics capability and accuracy.

The position is based in Monza (Italy) and reports to the Finance Manager, provides business partnership to several key functions, such as business, client service, operation, quality, HR, engineering, technical services and overlooks at operations involving more than a thousand employees generating Revenues in excess of $400M.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business related field

  • 3+ years of relevant Finance work experience in a Manufacturing Company

  • Experience in FP&A and knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Hyperion) is preferred

  • Knowledge of Power BI or other Business Intelligence tool is required

  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities to meet deadline

  • Fluent English is required

  • Ability to work with management at all levels

  • Excellent analytical, modeling and communication skills

  • Limited travel involved, less than 10% of total time
