There is an opportunity for this to be a full-time teleworking position. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Your role

As a Full-Stack Developer specializing in React form development, your focus is on designing, developing and maintaining powerful interactive forms for our web apps. You will work closely with the design and back-end teams to ensure seamless integration and an optimal user experience. Your responsibilities will include creating reusable components in React, implementing form validation and submission logic, and optimizing performance and data security. Your expertise in front-end and back-end development will be critical in ensuring that our forms meet our users’ needs and comply with web development best practices.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Take part in developing and upgrading the CMS and related systems to meet AI business objectives.

  • Create forms meeting the content requirements of Radio-Canada.ca products.

  • Contribute to advancing development best practices and upgrading legacy technologies.

  • Ensure that developed applications perform well, enabling journalists to compose publications rapidly and without errors.

  • Write business rules in the domain layer of CBC/Radio-Canada (DDD).

  • Write unit tests.

  • Document technology changes for training and collaboration purposes.

  • Take part in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprints, scrums, demos, retros) and in rollout of applications.

  • Take part in code reviews.

Required skills:

  • University degree or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in TypeScript

  • Proficiency in Git

  • Advanced knowledge of the React framework

  • Advanced knowledge of CSS

  • Advanced knowledge of C#

  • Knowledge of .NET Core and Web API

  • Knowledge of Apollo GraphQL

  • Knowledge of A11Y concepts an asset

  • Understanding of MongoDB and Elasticsearch principles

  • Understanding of OAuth 2.0 protocol an asset

  • Understanding of REST API principles

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps suite

  • Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker) and cloud environments (Azure)

  • Ability to be thorough, self-reliant, proactive, resourceful and team-focused

Additional assets:

  • Microsoft Azure certification

  • Experience working with programming languages such as C#, TypeScript and NodeJS

  • Knowledge of Azure ML and Databricks services

  • Experience with database management systems (SQL, NoSQL)

  • Experience with continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools

  • Solid command of French and working knowledge of English (spoken and written)

  • Knowledge of Monorepo and Yarn Workspaces concepts

Please note this is a 12-month contract position, renewable annually.
