About your next Challenge as Manager, Program Finance:

MAPPS is seeking an experienced Program Finance Manager responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of programs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who collaborates cross functionally with a variety of individuals across all levels of the organization. Must be able to lead a team and effectively interface with senior levels of management.

The Program Finance Manager leads and directs experienced professionals, lower level supervisors, or associate managers. Communicates within and outside of organization to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, or approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Establishes short-term operational plans with measurable contribution to function or business area results. Requires management and leadership knowledge in job area and comprehensive knowledge within professional discipline.

What You Will Do:

  • Advises on risks and opportunities on business plans and drives action plans to mitigate risks while capitalizing on opportunities;

  • Partners with and provides leadership and guidance to Program Managers, Technical Leads, and Division/Sector leadership related to financial and program performance;

  • Provides oversight of financials for Orders, Sales, EBIT, and Cash including preparation of financial reports and briefings to leadership;

  • Coordinates with other departments and functions to ensure that all short and long term forecasting is accurate and reported on time to Division/Sector leadership;

  • Monitors and proactively manages milestone invoices and program cash forecast;

  • Analyzes and monitors sites’ program EACs – ensuring the preparation, maintenance and timely reporting of program performance data to Division/Sector leadership;

  • Ensures finance/accounting regulatory and compliance practices are in place at all international sites including all relevant enterprise-wide finance/accounting policies and procedures;

  • Supervise and mentor program finance staff;

  • Provide essential support to the team's daily operations, facilitating a seamless workflow and efficient practices;

  • Lead and manage ad-hoc projects, demonstrating flexibility and a capacity to drive change;

  • Champion the enhancement of finance processes and tools, including the introduction of automation to increase efficiency and accuracy;

  • Foster the development and maintenance of robust financial controls to secure the company's assets and ensure financial integrity.

    Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of prior relevant experience;

  • Ability to lead and mentor accounting team;

  • Program Finance and Earned Value Management (EVM) experience is a requirement;

  • Requires strong analytical and problem solving ability;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English;

  • Manage and perform multiple tasks;

  • Prior experience using Oracle SmartView;

  • Prior Aerospace and Defence industry experience;

  • Program Finance experience;

  • Experience leading a team.

    Eligibility Criteria :

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;

  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
