What to Expect:

The successful hire will implement and lead Monthly Business Planning/Demand Planning Cycles for the Coffee, Machines and Accessory categories in line with business expectations. Lead a team of demand and supply planners to optimize the end-to-end demand planning process and tools. The Demand & Supply Planning Manager will also set up a central demand planning model which aims at improving and strengthening the interactions between the demand planning teams, the commercial functions to Contribute to Strategic and Tactical Business Planning. The Demand & Supply Planning Manager will influence senior management through thorough in-depth analysis of all business categories influencing market MBP, & MBS planning.

They will also drive strategic, long-term change in inventory management and working capital, demand planning, and net profit opportunities with a focus on product life cycle, trend-based analysis at both the market and HQ management level. Additional responsibilities include the ability to lead cross functional projects across DSP including, creating new projects, leading as product manager, managing a team to ensure execution/completion. Core planning activities the Demand & Supply Planning Manager will lead include top line forecasting for monthly business planning process/dynamic forecast, production planning, managing the portfolio lifecycle, creating forecasts by style and by distribution centre, and SKU mix analysis.

A day in the life:

  • Leader of Market markets Monthly Business Planning/Commercial review process by driving discussion to meet commercial targets for B2C and B2B, drive opportunities and risks to deliver target growth, implement improvements, and innovation in forecast accuracy and inventory planning across all business units.

  • Owner of the Plan to Execute end to end process. Own the bottoms up unit forecast for all channels across all categories; ECOM, BTQ's, Trade, B2B

  • Create a highly empowered, motivated Demand and Supply Planning team setting clear performance expectations and coaching for continuous improvements.

  • Design scenario modelling strategies to maximize working capital.

  • Develop vision, strategy, and road map for End-to-End DSP / Plan to Execute processes, KPIs across the demand and supply planning team and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to deliver on that vision.

  • Create an aligned 3–5-year strategic roadmap for Planning that supports the needs of all businesses categories.

  • Ensure consistency of forecast assumptions across the business unit, including base business trends, promotional plans, new launch volumes, planogram changes and seasonal volume.

  • Define key performance indicators, monitor, and benchmark performance with similar Nespresso Markets or Nestlé counterparts.

  • Ensure continuous alignment with Business priorities, initiatives and activities and the delivery of performance to agreed KPI levels.

  • Achieve network stability in both short and long term across all distribution centres and ports of entry through long term demand and supply planning strategies focusing on inventory management, capacity planning, production/manufacturing planning, and movement of goods.

  • Develop cross-functional alignment with Marketing and commercial (Ecom/ BTQ/ CRC; B2C/B2B) to ensure proper planification and execution of promotional activities.

  • Ensure an adequate level of flexibility of structures and processes to:

  • Meet ad-hoc customer requirements or to deal with unexpected Supply Chain disruptions.

  • Adapt to changes in the market environment.

Role Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: Bilingualism in French and English

  • 8-10 years of relevant operational experience within Demand and Supply Planning

  • 5+ years in managing a Monthly Business Planning cycle (Sales and operations planning/consensus)

  • 5+ years’ experience in effective people management required.

  • Strong negotiation skills, project, and trade-off management, including lead monthly forecast reviews, process, and negotiation with commercial functions.

  • Knowledge in product portfolio management (type of demand, seasonality, lifecycle status, shelf-life)

  • Experience with a demand statistical tool is an asset (OMP, SAS, SAP/APO, etc.) required.

  • Advanced Computer skills (Excel, SQL and reporting tools such as Cognos any Business Intelligence) required.

  • Advance knowledge of supply chain KPIs (demand plan accuracy, stock cover, stock availability, etc.)

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, and project management skills

  • Excellent people skills, able to foster relationships quickly and manage multiple senior stakeholders; comfortable presenting to and working alongside senior management.

  • Leader and People coach

  • Capable of working in a fast paced, complex environment – sense of urgency and agility a must.

  • Knowledge of Lean Methodology
