The Graphic Designer 2 develops and maintains graphic designs (e.g., art, color themes, photographs, web pages), audio and video to support the organization's image, identity and brands. The Graphic Designer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

ROLE SUMMARY

The graphic designer 2 supports marketing projects as assigned using software to design products that meet the needs of the consumer as well as Humana Military. This role is responsible for creating visually engaging designs that align with two different brands—Humana’s marketing and brand standards as well as brand guidelines dictated by the government.

The graphic designer 2 will enforce brand adherence and the graphic creation and development of all marketing products. This role will coordinate multiple projects, prioritize work in a dynamic environment, take the initiative to move projects to the next step and participate in cross-functional work groups as appropriate. This role should understand design process for digital environments vs. print material and can complete objectives following brand guidelines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

40% - Supports design work for multiple brands simultaneously, ensuring delivered products or services adhere to the policies and brand standards of Humana Military and the government

40% - Leverages creative and marketing knowledge to produce high-quality designs for a variety of digital and print materials, including web assets, logos, social media, emails, presentations, promotional displays, and print product

10% - With support, makes decisions regarding work methods and strategies. Determines appropriate actions in varied situations.

10% Collaborates with printers and other vendors to align on production process

Required Qualifications

  • Our Department of Defense Contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position

  • Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS - National Background Investigation Services)

  • HGB is not authorized to do work in Puerto Rico per our government contract. We are not able to hire candidates that are currently living in Puerto Rico.

  • Must live in the Eastern time zone

  • Bachelor's degree in design, communications, marketing or business

  • At least 2 years of professional graphic design experience

  • Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)

  • A portfolio that showcases a range of work across different industries and brands

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience with adapting design for different audiences while protecting and enhancing brand identity

Work at Home Requirements

To ensure Hybrid Office/Home associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Hybrid Office/Home associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$59,300 - $80,900 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
