Job Title: Drafter

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Drafter in the Conroe area. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking drawings presented by the lead and redlining them based on the recommendations provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in AutoCAD software, particularly in the Power industry, specifically distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Redline drawings based on lead's recommendations

  • Utilize AutoCAD software for drafting tasks

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure drawings meet project specifications

  • Work on projects related to telecommunications, utilities, construction, and power distribution

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of experience working with AutoCAD software

  • Experience in telecommunications, utilities, construction, or power industries

  • Knowledge of ROW and easement processes

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the Power industry, specifically distribution, is a plus

  • Experience with design, drafting, CAD, Revit, electrical engineering, and construction documents

  • Working in utilities engineering, power distribution, power delivery, power generation, fiber optic, OSP, and telecommunication

Work Environment

The position offers a hybrid schedule after training. Flexibility is provided with candidates potentially working in the office 2 to 4 days a week, depending on their ability to catch on quickly and manage their workload and deadlines efficiently. The role includes 6 holidays and 5 PTO days, with the potential for a long-term contract to hire.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
