Job Description The role involves operating Additive Manufacturing (AM) and Post-Processing equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting general facility upkeep. The technician will oversee daily equipment operations, ensure compliance with quality standards and maintenance protocols, and contribute to the overall functionality of the facility. --- What You Will Do: • Following established procedures, work instructions, and sequences of operations, you will set up, operate, clean, and maintain additive manufacturing (AM) and Post-processing equipment (e.g., vacuum furnace, wire EDM), ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules. • Responsible for managing product Flow through ALL stages of Additive Manufacturing and Post-processing (from AM build to support removal / deburr and cleaning) to maintain efficiency and quality. • Strictly adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) • Implement and sustain Factory Floor 5S principles to ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment • Conduct Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Troubleshoot Facility and Equipment Issues, coordinating with contractors and OEMs to minimize downtime, extend machinery lifespan, and ensure continuous operation. • Execute Manufacturing Execution System (MES) tasks, ensuring accurate product tracking and data entry, while adhering to released Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures, as well as AS9100 standards. • Support waste management protocols to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards • Manage inventory and maintenance of tools and supplies to support production and maintenance activities • Gather and enter Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process monitoring data to maintain process quality and consistency • Participate in risk reduction and improvement projects to enhance production capabilities and efficiency • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and digital technology teams to establish automated and connected data management systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting manufacturing • *Must be willing and able to attend occasional Zoom meeting before or after hours to facilitate global collaboration --- Qualifications You Must Have: • Typically requires an AA/AS degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or a University Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident), or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required • 2+ years experience in facilities, maintenance, or production manufacturing environment • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office applications • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. • Must be able to operate precision equipment; manual dexterity is required for support removal, deburr operations, machine setup, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting. ---Qualifications We Prefer: • Metal Additive Manufacturing process understanding; hands-on AM machine experience • Metal powder handling experience • Experience with data documentation and reporting • Experience with executing instructions within and interfacing with PLM, ERP, and MES Systems (Teamcenter, SAP, and Solumina) • Ability to understand, follow, and write standard work instructions pertaining to production processes and maintenance techniques, including adherence to AS9100 standards and an understanding of those requirements.
