Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to lead and execute tests aimed at enhancing production, profitability, reducing environmental impact, and improving safety. Responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing process data, recommending solutions to process problems, understanding the current computer operating systems related to feed/voltage, evaluating materials, forecasting process parameters for strategic planning, and maintaining computer databases. The role also involves staying updated with technical developments within the industry for effective data collection and personnel training, as well as leading trials and special projects such as process improvements and technology development.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze process data and recommend solutions to process problems

• Obtain an understanding of the current feed/voltage computer operating system

• Evaluate materials and develop an understanding of required tools for measurements while taking samples/measurements

• Forecast process parameters and calculations for strategic planning purposes

• Develop and maintain computer databases for both routine analysis reporting and resolution of periodic process problems

• Maintain broad-based knowledge of technical developments within the industry for data collection and training personnel

• Lead/execute trials and special projects (i.e., Process improvements, Lean projects, six sigma, and technology development)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering (chemical engineering is preferred)

• 1-3 years’ experience in heavy manufacturing industry

• Understanding of Carbon or Metal processing industry is a plus

• Process Optimization and Development, project management, improvement projects

This is a fully on-site position in Charleston, South Carolina.
