Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Electrician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems in a very heavy industrial environment. You will be responsible for routine electrical tasks, working autonomously and complying with all plant safety and personal protective equipment requirements. Your role will involve troubleshooting, handling, operation, and safe use of various electrical equipment. This includes motors, generators, transformers, and more. You must be proficient in using electrical maintenance tools and testing equipment, and capable of troubleshooting issues effectively to maintain continuous operation.

Hard Skills

• Troubleshooting ladder logic

• PLC5 RS Logic

• Proximity switches

• Limit switches

• VSD

• 480V motors (AC)

• Wiring motors

• **Former or trasitioning Electrician's Mates encourgaed to apply as your service experience ia applicable.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work autonomously

• Compliance with safety protocols

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Environment

Expect a non-climate controlled, heavy industrial setting with varying temperature conditions due to equipment and outdoor climate. The role requires wearing steel toes, hardhat, safety glasses, and ear plugs, with additional personal protective equipment depending on the department. Work involves a rotating shift schedule, including day and night shifts, with possibilities of mandatory overtime. Straight day shifts may also be available depending on department needs.
