Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper in the non-profit industry. Based in Modesto, California, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for typical duties such as accounts payable, payroll, monthly financials, bank reconciliations, and office/reception duties.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing accounts payable accurately and in a timely manner

• Handling payroll duties and ensuring all records are updated

• Preparing monthly financial reports and statements

• Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Performing various office/reception duties to support the team

• Utilizing QuickBooks for bookkeeping and accounting tasks

• Providing excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues. Requirements

• Possess expertise in Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in handling Payroll

• Strong Customer Service skills

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks

• Familiarity with non-profit industry operations

• Demonstrable numerical and financial acumen

• Ability to maintain financial confidentiality and transparency

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
