WSP USA Proposal Coordinator in Mississauga, Ontario

The Opportunity:

WSP has a new opportunity for a Proposal Coordinator to join our Earth & Environment Proposal Team on a full-time basis based in Vancouver, Calgary, Mississauga, or Toronto.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Coordinate, write, review, and edit English proposals;

  • Review and analyze incoming requests for proposals and develop structure and content;

  • Plan and coordinate proposal-related tasks, from the initial kick-off/kick-off meeting through proposal delivery and post-submission follow-up;

  • Compile internal information such as history with client for proposal decisions and strategy;

  • Coordinate and execute proposal winning strategy and assist staff in developing capture plans;

  • Compile, modify and draft standard proposal components according to requirements; compile disparate pieces of content from a distributed group of authors into a cohesive and responsive proposal document;

  • Perform and delegate proposal tasks and ensure proposal schedules are met and adhered to;

  • Assist with proposal budgets and other technical sections, as needed;

  • Adapt existing CVs, project descriptions and boilerplate information;

  • Review final proposals for quality assurance and quality control;

  • Facilitate the pre-selection interview strategy and develop presentations;

  • Participate in internal and external proposal debriefings and other proposal closing activities;

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and participate in the development of the proposal team's best practices, tools and policies;

  • Contribute to the generation, collection, dissemination and archival of related information;

  • Communicate effectively with proposal teams and colleagues, as well as other stakeholders;

  • Report on proposal parameters, as required;

  • Support and contribute to initiatives and activities of the Earth and Environment proposal team, as well as ad hoc requests;

  • Think and act in the best interests of WSP and actively promote our core values;

  • Open to travel between offices for training and proposal-related activities.

What you'll bring to WSP:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, science, engineering, business or related discipline;

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;

  • Attention to detail and excellent proofreading/grammar skills;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills;

  • Team player, able to excel in a multitasking and deadline-driven environment;

  • Ability to work overtime and under pressure to meet deadlines;

  • Project management skills (prioritization, planning, monitoring, etc.);

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign and Acrobat) to create materials and client proposals;

  • Experience in the professional services consulting sector (engineering and science an asset), with an emphasis on management and/or proposal writing is ideal;

  • Experience working on federal government and public works proposals is desirable;

  • Experience working with internal and external client groups and with distributed (virtual) proposal teams;

  • Comfortable working and interacting at all levels in a multidisciplinary environment.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $62,600 - 106,400
