The Product Specialist is responsible for owning, formulating, and developing market strategies and tactics that are required to meet our business objectives in the Anesthesia business Nationally. This position takes an active role in selling opportunities so as to ensure that GE HealthCare technology is perceived as desirable by our customers. You will be called upon as the technical and clinical expert by the regions to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions and to support the closing of strategic sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Become the Anesthesia and Respiratory Specialist and product expert for the GEHC Business in Canada. Provide technical and clinical leadership during sales process by demonstrating full range of product features including potential uses, product capabilities and benefits to customers as needed.

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver product training to customers and internal sales team on software, application and/or equipment use.

  • Build & develop continuous education programs.

  • Ensure Clinicians are using the feature/benefits, enforcing value propositions to drive better outcomes.

  • Provide product and sales support for strategic sales opportunities to Product Sales Specialists, Account Executives, Clinical Applications Specialists, and other direct and indirect sales/service channels through generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating equipment capabilities.

  • Analyze and specify customer needs and requirements and develop customized solutions.

  • Supporting the ARC Product Manager in facilitating modality training, market intelligence, competitive feedback, driving region modality strategy and promotional activities.

  • Prospecting for new customers and business in addition to growing and maintaining our existing customer portfolio.

  • Annual achievement of sales and revenue targets.

  • Continuously monitor and analyze competitive clinical offering, prepare offense & defense talking points and arguments which the sales team can use to differentiate GE offering during the sales process. Product positioning & competitive analysis

  • Development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identity and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs.

  • Responsible for providing feedback to product manager and RGM on field concerns, issues, and requirements.

  • Effectively communicate with members of the GEHC Canada team in order to maximize orders, sales and margin potential and communicate leads to relevant colleagues.

  • To track market effectively and provide accurate current and forecast data using information tools available (eg. Sales Workbench).

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in Healthcare information technologies (Networks/Software).

  • Candidates must be able to cultivate and leverage Clinical and Technical relationships externally at all levels.

  • The ideal candidate has previous experience in Anesthesia and/or Respiratory solutions with a proven sales track record gained within a similar Healthcare or Scientific company.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills.

  • 3+ years of consultative sales experience in the healthcare industry.

  • Willingness to travel 50% with national responsibility.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales offers.

  • Demonstrate interpersonal & communication skills (ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, to external customers, global counterparts and to team members in other functional organizations).

  • Solid problem-solving skills (ability to manage and resolve conflict, communicate issues, and propose solutions to both internal and external).

  • Proven professional business acumen (experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process)

  • Self-motivated, willingness to take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and take actions to improve.

  • Team oriented with a customer satisfaction mindset.

  • Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time Willingness to be flexible/adapt to changing work environments.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical area or equivalent experience.

  • Previous Healthcare high-end capital equipment sales experience or customer facing roles in applications support.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.

  • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization.

  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process.

  • Strong communication and clear-thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages.

  • Knowledge of the Canadian Anesthesia, Respiratory, and Healthcare market.

  • Current GE product experience desired.
