Job Description

The Change, Learning and Communications Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in facilitating organizational change, driving learning initiatives, and managing communication strategies. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing effective strategies to ensure smooth transitions, foster employee engagement, and promote a culture of continuous learning and development. Reporting to the Global Director, Planning and Project Services (PPS), the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of CLC Analyst(s) and Manager(s), support the CIO in all IT and Organization wide communication, own quarterly virtual or in-person IT Townhalls and act as a project subject matter expert in the areas of Organizational Change Management, Learning and Communications. As CLC is a fairly new capability within the organization, the successful candidate will also work closely with the PPS leader in the implementation of best practices for the defined areas of responsibility for the team. This role is based On-site in Mississauga , ON .

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE;

1. Change Management

Develop and implement a repeatable change management strategy and playbook to support organizational initiatives and projects. Identify potential risks and obstacles to change and develop mitigation strategies. Provide guidance and support to leadership and teams throughout the change process. Monitor progress and measure the effectiveness of change initiatives, making adjustments as needed. Lead Change Management on identified projects as required.

2. Learning and Development

Design, deliver, and evaluate learning and development programs aligned with organizational goals and employee needs. Identify training needs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms. Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop content and materials for training programs. Facilitate workshops, seminars, and other learning activities to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

3. Communications

Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure key messages are effectively communicated to employees. Create engaging content for various communication channels, including emails, newsletters, intranet, and social media. Coordinate town hall meetings, team briefings, and other communication events. Monitor feedback and sentiment to continuously improve communication effectiveness.

4. People Leadership

Coach and develop members of the team. Help to identify gaps across IT teams that may impact the execution of the CLC mandate, make recommendations, and help recruit and onboard new members of the CLC team. Build and maintain high-performing teams who are dedicated and experienced in their craft and bring out their best through servant leadership. Capably deliver results through others. Establish clear direction. Challenge and support others to create results but also develop new capabilities. Own the performance development process for the team and assess promotion readiness to help each contributor evolve in their career. Ensure retention and staffing targets are being met. Create a transparent, collaborative and productive work environment. Establish a culture of delivering impact through ongoing learning, cross-functional collaboration, project management best practices, and industry-leading consulting skills. Identify current gaps within the team/department structure and work with Leadership on resourcing plans.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

  • Proven experience in change management, learning and development, and corporate communications as well as a people manager.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.

  • Familiarity with communication tools and platforms.

  • Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci) is a plus.
