PCI Pharma Services CAN_Shift Lead/ Supervisor - Day Shift in Mississauga, Canada

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily operations of the Packaging Rooms assigning and directing the work of the Line Leaders, Material Handlers and Packagers.

  • Monitors and directs the operation and pace of the lines. Monitors and reports on the shift’s production output.

  • Reviews the schedule and ensures production is executed efficiently with a high-quality product and minimal waste.

  • Ensures adherence to standard SOP’s and job specific packaging procedures. Coordinates with the Warehouse and Quality Assurance to ensure issuance and reconciliation are correct for packaging runs.

  • Partners with the Mechanics and Line Leaders on the troubleshooting of production issues.

  • Oversees the precise checking of production output.

  • Performs Line/Packaging Room Clearances.

  • Completes and/or ensures all documentation (e.g. Batch Records, production run documentation) is completed in an accurate manner for the shift.

  • Monitors quality via “in process” inspection processes in partnership with the QA Inspectors.

  • Makes recommendations to the Director regarding improving labour and machine efficiencies and decreasing waste.

  • Participates in the recruitment process and candidate selection and conducts employee orientations

  • Schedules temporary resources.

  • Oversees employee training identifying needs and concerns, consulting with the Director on how to close gaps.

  • Promotes a positive working environment and encourages two-way communication.

  • Investigates and writes production incidents and deviations.

  • Raises to the Director any issues, down time, concerns with products, machinery, employees, etc. Prepares and issues on a daily basis a detailed shift report.

  • Responsible for adhering to and enforcing GMP and safety practices.

  • Ensures Packaging Rooms are cleaned and maintained on a daily basis and all logbooks are complete and accurate.

  • Responsible for monitoring health and safety in the Packaging Rooms.

  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.

Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
