Minnesota Visiting Nurse Agency Staff Nurse RN (0.8 FTE) - Kidney Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota
*SUMMARY*
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Kidney Center. This position is 0.8 FTE (8 hour day shifts, 8 shifts per pay period) working Monday - Friday.This position will begin training to take call 6 months after hire. A $4,000 hiring incentive is available for eligible external candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible).
* _RESPONSIBILITIES*_ Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:
- Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health
- Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
- Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
- Educating patient on their disease process
- Assuring continuity of care
- Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
_QUALIFICATIONS:_ Minimum Qualifications: * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota * Transplant certification required within 2 years of start date
Preferred Qualifications: * Renal or transplant experience preferred * Certification in area of clinical specialty * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
