We are offering a role based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. This position involves the role of a Staff Accountant, focusing primarily on bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries. The role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity with potential for further opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Handle bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently

• Maintain the general ledger with precision and consistent attention to detail

• Prepare and post journal entries as per business requirements

• Collaborate with other accounting staff to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports

• Conduct regular ledger audits to ensure accuracy

• Respond to relevant inquiries from management in a timely manner

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain the integrity and security of all financial data

• Continue to improve knowledge and understanding of company's financial systems.

Requirements • Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

• Proficiency in bank reconciliations is required.

• Experience with general ledger management is essential.

• Able to create and manage journal entries.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.

• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP).

• Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
