Sr. Rebate Analyst, Accrual & Reporting Team

Main Purpose of Job

The primary responsibility of this Sr. Rebate Analyst role is to support Accrual Management and Reporting /Analysis activities that improve the effectiveness of the US Rebates team across the Cardiovascular, Medical Surgical & Neuroscience portfolios. A large focus is placed on providing great service to our business partners (Finance, Contracting, IT) and customers by maintaining accurate accruals and ensuring our Rebate systems are functioning as designed. The secondary responsibility is to contribute and/or represent the department through completion of specific projects as defined in yearly objectives.

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

o Ensure source data accuracy in Rebate Systems (Partner, CMS, Vistex) and related inputs, including membership.

o Own weekly internal audit process to verify newly created agreements & associated accruals are accurate, provide requested information when Rebate teams are audited (both internal and external)

o Maintain accurate accrual balances and utilize reporting & analytics to research and resolve aged accrual issues, partnering as needed

o Coordinate on product hierarchy management to ensure rebates and fees are being settled using most up to date product information

o Partner with IT on incidents / enhancements related to Rebate system management

o Analyze newly created agreements to ensure alignment to the America’s Rebate Playbook, and help to manage the exception request process

o Research and respond to accrual & reporting inquiries utilizing all available reporting and analysis tools; creating new reports needed.

o Represent Rebates team on special projects with business partners including Contracting/Sales, Pricing, Finance, Credit, IT, Systems, etc.

o Utilize analysis and reporting tools including Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, Business Objects, Access, Visual Basic, etc. to support projects and initiatives.

o Analyze and understand data and share summarized findings & related insights.

o Special projects and support as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

o Bachelor’s Degree

JOB EXPERIENCE:

o 2-4+ years of experience in an analyst role, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

o Experience working with data & analysis tools such as Excel and Business Objects

o Strong logic and analysis skills, with ability to complete detailed research

o Ability to interpret contracting language.

o Familiar w/ general Finance concepts such as accruals, postings, etc. and familiarity with SAP

PREFERENCES

o 2-4+ years of experience in a financial, sales support or analytic role; Medtronic experience preferred

o Ideal candidate displays a strong initiative to drive results and reach resolution

o Working knowledge of Vistex rebate software (Vistex is a module within the broader ERP system of SAP)

o Extensive knowledge of SAP, BOXI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Tableau, Snowflake and a willingness to continue learning.

o Experience with legal terms and conditions.

o Work experience in dealing with professionals in various disciplines.

o Proven change management skills

o Strong oral and written communication abilities with experience interacting with customers and internal business partners.

o Team player that is a self-initiator, highly motivated, and works well with others. Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

o Reliable work ethic and ability to be flexible during peak times.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
