CLA is looking to hire a SQL/ETL Developer - Lead to join our growing Internal IT team. About the role: We are seeking a skilled SQL/ETL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for 75% ETL development and 25% SQL Dev work, ensuring our systems are secure, reliable, and efficient. As a SQL/ETL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our ETL pipelines and ensuring that they meet our company's standards. Essential Job Functions : * Develop, design, and maintain complex ETL pipelines. * Create and optimize complex SQL queries, including the ability to write complex stored procedures and functions. * Leverage Azure Synapse and Databricks for large scale data analytics. * Refactor existing SSIS pipelines to enhance efficiency and migrate them seamlessly to Azure Synapse, ensuring a modernized data architecture and improved scalability. * Identify and troubleshoot pipeline issues and performance problems, including analyzing performance metrics, diagnosing problems, and tuning notebooks or processes to optimize performance. * Collaborate with software developers, business partners and other stakeholders to gather and interpret business requirements to ensure that integrations meet all specifications. * Work with vendors to stay up-to-date with new technologies, features, and trends. * Document designs, data flows, dependencies, and integration points for operational support. * Analyze data and identify performance related gaps and provide solutions wherever applicable. * Develop monitoring plans for proactive support of pipelines both on-prem and in the cloud. * Create, document and support disaster recovery planning and procedure development. What you will need: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in SQL development and ETL development on the Azure Cloud platform. * Strong knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). * Strong proficiency in SQL Server development tools, including SQL Server Management Studio, Azure Data Studio, and Azure SQL Database. * Experience in Azure Cloud platform features such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Cosmos. * Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts. * Strong knowledge of T-SQL programming, database design, and optimization techniques. * Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques. * Ability to write complex stored procedures, functions, and SQL queries. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Strong communication and collaboration skills.
