Mortenson Construction Senior Project Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota
M. A. Mortenson Company seeks a full-time Senior Project Manager based in Minneapolis, MN. The Senior Project Manager provides overall leadership direction to assigned construction projects, including the management of project quality, timeliness, and safety, as well as mentoring the project team. This position requires a Master's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus three (3) years of related experience in the construction industry. Alternatively, this position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus five (5) years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the construction industry. Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) reviewing contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation; (2) preparing subcontract change order process, including reviewing subcontractor estimates, negotiating change orders, obtaining required owner approvals, and preparing subcontractor change orders; (3) conducting Owner, Architect, and Contractor (OAC) meetings, pre-install meetings, scope review meetings, schedule meetings, and pre-close out and budget meetings with owner; (4) estimating and managing technical and resource requirements/specifications for construction projects, including design and material requirements; and (5) working with the following tools and technologies: Procore, Oracle, Revit, BIM360, Microsoft Excel and Word, and Bluebeam. Will accept experience gained before, during, or after Master's program. All experience may have been gained concurrently. May work in various unanticipated locations in the United States.
