The position will be supervised jointly by Drs. Dorothy Hatsukami and Dana Carroll and will provide opportunities to collaborate with a team of world-renowned scientists affiliated with the Tobacco Research Programs, Masonic Cancer Center (https://www.tobaccoresearch.umn.edu/). Examples of ongoing studies that can support the post-doctoral fellow include NIH funded grants on tobacco regulatory science (e.g., reducing the appeal, toxicity and addictiveness in tobacco products) and community-engaged research developing and testing culturally-tailored, mobile health (e.g., smartphone apps, text message program) smoking cessation interventions. There will be ample opportunities to be involved in studies that encompass a broad range of methodological approaches (e.g., randomized controlled trials, human laboratory studies, mixed methods, qualitative research, and community-based participatory research). Furthermore, the fellow will have access to a world class tobacco product testing and tobacco-related biomarkers resources. In addition to being mentored on ongoing studies, the post-doctoral research fellow will be expected to contribute to manuscript and engage in grant writing. Required Qualifications: -PhD, MD, or DrPH in psychology, public health, health services, or other related field at the time of the position start date.
