This project will involve critical analysis and modification of T-cell and regulatory cell development through multiple strategies, including genetic and chemical manipulation, to develop clinically applicable myeloid lineage products with high potency, stability, and persistence in vivo. Responsibilities (Must total 100%): 80% Design scientific protocols, scientific writing and carry out experiments, interpret results, co-author and submit manuscripts and research grants. 15%. The early identification of new scientific or technological trends in their area of expertise Drive resourcefulness and scientific innovation in their area of expertise 5%. Actively participating in international scientific conferences, expert meetings, workshops. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold an MD and/or PhD degree in a biological science. Must be willing and able to handle human blood products, viral and nonviral vector, plasmid, gene editors and nanoparticle transduction of human cells. Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated expertise in developing scientific protocols, scientific writing, and excellent letters of reference. Applicants should have a history of demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team setting as well as an enthusiasm and self-motivation within the research setting. Applicant should be proficient with complex flow cytometry analysis, in vitro cell culture of human inducible pluripotent stem cells and extensive experience with genome engineering techniques (knockdown; knockout with Crispr/cas9 and/or base editors) , myeloid cell differentiation from inducible pluripotent stem cells and functional assays of immune regulation, inflammasome activation, RNA-seq, and molecular analyses to assess genome modifications.
